People who suffer from dythymia can also experience chronic periods of major depression as well. Especially if coupled with other mental health conditions. Also people with Dysthymia are usually depressed for so long that they don’t know any other kind of normal. Being sad every day becomes a part of your personality. People with this mood disorder can go years and years being depressed every single day. We often forget what happiness is. I was diagnosed with BPD, Panic Disorder with Agoraphobia and Dysthymia.
